To improve the lives of our veterans that are suffering from PTSD. It’s our goal to promote wellness to help veterans, “Choose Life Over Suicide”. K9 Karma wants to help rebuild life skills that are lost when our veterans return home. A service dog will help them in dealing with anxiety, depression, anger, and most importantly, help them in building a better relationship with their families.
We are a nonprofit, 501(c)(3), organization focused on helping veterans live in a much better, happier place. With the help of our tireless staff, we organize fundraisers, community-building events, and in-depth training sessions for our volunteers.
Are you passionate about what we're doing? Let us know! We are always looking for volunteers to help us make our vision a reality. We'll help you find a way to volunteer that best suits you. We're excited to have you join the team!
Whether you help through monetary donations, volunteering your time, or spreading our mission through word-of-mouth, thank you. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you.
We’ll shop till we drop!! We’re kidding, well sort of. We will be using the money to purchase all items that will be needed to train just one service dog. This includes but is not limited to, cost of training by the service dog trainer, transportation fees, and adoption fees, spay or neuter the dog before handing him to our veteran, any vaccinations the dog might need, treats for training purpose, and the proper leash for training.
Others could contribute by their donations, purchasing items from our online store, and spreading the word about K9 Karma. We are always willing to accept training gifts for our service dogs, things like – dog treats, collars or leashes. We do have some volunteers that are willing to help us with the marketing, and promotions but we haven't started adverting for trainers. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer dog trainer, please visit our "contact us" tab and send us your information.
The main needs are donations. Since our organization fees are purely coming out of our pockets, we are always in need of donations and sponsorships. The costs for training a service dog is very expensive and remember, we’re doing this all for free, so donations are always a need. Not only does it help the cost of training, but also helps with the cost of leashes, treats, collars, veterinarian bills, etc... The biggest thing to remember is, no matter the time or cost, our veterans need us and no matter what, we aren’t going to turn anyone away. We need the support any way we can get it.
Your generous gift will help us fund our mission to help those in need. Together, we can make a difference.
