K9 Karma was founded in 2014 and we are a non-profit organization that helps veterans that have been "coping" with PTSD and TBI.
Both men and women are suffering from PTSD and TBI due to a traumatic experience during combat. K9 Karma also trains service dogs for veterans that have suffered PTSD due to sexual assaults.
Our unique program is a second chance to a brighter future for not only the veterans but their families too. K9 Karma wants to help rebuild life skills that are lost when our veterans return home. A service dog will help them in dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, anger, confusion and most importantly, help them in building a better relationship with their families.
PTSD AND TBI
Service dogs can help adjust serotonin levels, lower blood pressure, and help with episodes of depression.
They provide companionship that can calm their handler.
A service dog will help in preventing people from crowding around or rushing up to their handler.
K9 Karma is a non-profit organization that is training dogs to become service dogs for Veterans suffering from PTSD. Our organization is solely based on donations and sponsorships.
PTSD is caused by various reasons when it comes to our military. Two main reasons are: Being in a combat zone and the second one is sexual assault. Both men and women are victims of sexual assault while on active duty. Please help us in allowing these victims to lead a normal life again.
We are a small organization with great hopes to train dogs to improve the lives of our veterans that are suffering from PTSD. It’s our goal to promote wellness to help veterans, “Choose Life Over Suicide”. K9 Karma wants to help rebuild life skills that are lost when our veterans return home. A service dog will help them in dealing with anxiety, depression, and most importantly, help them in building a better relationship with their families.
Our veterans are able to come to us with their personal dog to train, or we are also able to use rescue dogs to place with a veteran, in need, while we train the dog. They will be trained, cared for appropriately and lovingly, and adopted into a life-long home with a veteran. By using rescue dogs, they too are getting a second chance at life.
Your support allows us to provide innovative, hands-on alternative treatment to our veterans by giving them the opportunity for this, “Second Chance for a Brighter Future”.
We hope that you are willing to help us in the motto, “No Man Left Behind” and join our organization so we can strive towards a life worth living for the veteran, their families and a loving dog. We feel that "No Man Left Behind" just doesn't pertain to the battlefield but pertains to home as well. If we don't give our veterans the help that they deserve once they return home, then in essence we are Leaving A Man Behind.
